Weymouth Rug
Weymouth Rug
From our Nantucket Collection. Named for Weymouth Street, a quiet side street in town lined with houses from the 1850s, just a short stroll from the shops of Main Street and the boats bobbing in the harbor.
The Weymouth Rug
Hand-knotted in India from pure wool, this piece reimagines a classic design of sweeping palmettes and curling vines in soft, faded tones. Like the old houses along its namesake street, it has an easy, lived-in grace that feels as though it has always belonged.
Colors in Detail
The field is a warm, weathered brown, like driftwood darkened by the tide. Across it, palmettes and blossoms are drawn in outlines of oyster ivory, shaded with slate and charcoal, with leaves of sea green and soft olive like marsh grass along the harbor. Whispers of lavender bloom throughout like beach rose at dusk. A border in the same sandy brown, edged with bands of ivory, frames the design in quiet harmony.
