About Sea & Nest

Some are born by the sea. Others find their way to it. Either way, once it settles in, it never really leaves.

Growing up in coastal Virginia and spending summers on the magical island of Nantucket, I fell in love with the rhythm of seaside life early: the salt air, the ease, the beauty of simple, well-made things. That love led me into retail at sixteen, where I was drawn to everything from global treasures to the clean lines of a surfboard, objects that told a story and spaces that felt intentional.

From Coast to Coast

In the early 2000s, that passion took me three thousand miles west, where I opened KRIMSA Fine Rugs & Decor in San Francisco. Over nearly two decades, KRIMSA grew into a nationally recognized destination for fine rugs and décor, and the West Coast left its own quiet mark on my eye and my craft.

Finding Clarity in the Stillness

In 2020, as the world paused, so did I. In that stillness, I found myself returning to the water’s edge, and from that clarity, Sea & Nest was born: a curated collection of rugs, artwork, and décor chosen to bring the natural textures, soft tones, and quiet calm of the ocean into your home.

Inspired by the Coast

Each of our collections begins with a place I hold close: Nantucket and its endless summers; Carmel-by-the-Sea, a storybook village of white sand beaches and drifting fog; the rugged beauty of Los Cabos, where desert meets the sea; and the magical Turquoise Coast of Turkey, with its clear blue bays and ancient ruins at the water’s edge. Every rug carries a name, and every name has a story. We’ll leave that part for you to discover.

Alongside our rugs, you’ll find original artwork made by family and friends, pieces as personal as the places that inspired Sea & Nest.
