About Sea & Nest

Some are born by the sea. Others find their way to it. Either way, once it settles in, it never really leaves.

Growing up in coastal Virginia and spending summers on the magical island of Nantucket, I fell in love with the rhythm of seaside life early. The salt air, the ease, the beauty found in simple, well-made things. That love of beauty and craft led me naturally into retail at sixteen, where I found myself drawn to everything from global treasures to the clean lines of a surfboard, objects that told a story and spaces that felt intentional. I just didn't know yet that following that passion would soon take me three thousand miles west.

From Coast to Coast

In the early 2000s, I followed that passion west and opened KRIMSA Fine Rugs & Decor in San Francisco. For nearly two decades, I curated collections rooted in a sophisticated California aesthetic, growing KRIMSA into a nationally recognized destination for fine rugs and décor. While building the business I found endless inspiration exploring the West Coast, from the rugged romance of Carmel-by-the-Sea to the sun-drenched warmth of Cabo, each place leaving its own quiet mark on my eye and my craft.

Finding Clarity in the Stillness

In 2020, as the world paused, so did I. In that stillness, I found myself returning to the water’s edge, grounding myself in its familiar rhythm. From that clarity, Sea & Nest was born.

Rooted in decades of coastal inspiration, Sea & Nest is a thoughtfully curated collection of artwork and décor that reflects the ease of seaside living. Every piece is chosen with care to evoke natural textures, muted tones, and the quiet sense of calm only the ocean can bring. My work has always been about honoring craftsmanship and creating spaces that feel both timeless and deeply personal.
