Tortuga Rug

From our Los Cabos Collection. Tortuga means “turtle,” a nod to the sea turtles that return each year to nest on the beaches of Los Cabos. Late in the season, the tiny hatchlings make their way across the sand at dusk and slip into the sea.

The Tortuga Rug
Handwoven in Turkey from handspun wool in natural tones, this kilim flatweave pairs soft, irregular bands with delicate chains of diamonds and zigzags, a pattern that recalls the markings of a turtle's shell. Modern and grounded, it brings quiet warmth to a living room, bedroom, or study.

Colors in Detail
Bands of charcoal and espresso brown alternate with pewter gray, taupe, and driftwood, like wet sand and dark rock along the tide line. Slender lines of ivory run between them, and chains of diamonds in ivory, sand, and gray add a subtle rhythm across the surface. Creamy ivory fringe finishes each end.
