Pochick Rug
Pochick Rug
From our Nantucket Collection. Named for Pochick Street in 'Sconset, a lane of weathered cottages and climbing roses near the bluff, where the Atlantic stretches all the way to the horizon. Pochick is a Wampanoag name from the island's first people.
The Pochick Rug
Hand-knotted in India from pure wool, this piece is woven with a special technique that softly distresses the design, giving it a faded, storied look like a treasured heirloom. Its classic garden pattern of rosettes, palmettes, and trailing vines feels as unhurried as a summer afternoon in the village.
Colors in Detail
The field is a pale sea-mist gray with a whisper of green, like morning fog rolling in off the ocean. Across it, blossoms are scattered in terracotta, dusty rose, and warm camel, grounded by deep navy and slate blue, with touches of sage and shell ivory. A wide border the color of sunlit dune grass frames the design, dotted with navy rosettes and rust-colored flowers linked by soft blue vines.
