From our Carmel-by-the-Sea Collection. Named for Francisco Palóu, the padre who walked beside Junípero Serra and chronicled the founding of the Carmel Mission.

The Palou Rug
Hand-knotted in Tibet from 100% wool, this rug uses larger knots for a substantial, softly antique feel. Its classic design has been gently faded, like an heirloom that has spent generations in a sunlit mission room, and it suits traditional and modern homes alike.

Colors in Detail
Slate and misty blue drift over pale gray and ivory, warmed by wheat, soft yellow and gentle brown, with a whisper of smoky green. It's the palette of a winter morning on Carmel Beach: blue-gray waves, silvery sky and pale golden sand.
