Palo Rug
Palo Rug
From our Los Cabos Collection. Named for the palo trees of the Baja desert, like the pale-barked palo blanco and the green-limbed palo verde, which dot the hills above Cabo and burst into bloom each spring against the sandy slopes and blue sea beyond.
The Palo Rug
Handwoven in Iran from wool, this kilim flatweave is made in separate panels that are carefully joined together, a traditional technique that gives it a relaxed, artisanal character. The stripes of each panel sit offset from the next, creating a lively, patchwork rhythm that feels both collected and modern.
Colors in Detail
Stripes of sand, wheat, khaki, and taupe, like sun-warmed desert earth, mingle with bands of brick red and soft rose, like the glow on the hills at sunset. Here and there, a single stripe of deep teal appears like a glimpse of the sea through the trees, and bands of red and ivory finish each end.
