Nobadeer Rug

From our Nantucket Collection. Named for Nobadeer Beach on the island's south shore, where wide open sand meets the rolling Atlantic surf and the dunes stretch as far as the eye can see. Nobadeer is a Wampanoag name from the island's first people.

The Nobadeer Rug
Hand-knotted in Pakistan from pure wool, this piece reinterprets a classic village design of medallions, blossoms, and trailing vines in a soft, sun-faded palette. It has the easy, grounded feel of a long day at the beach, relaxed enough for family living yet polished enough for a formal room.

Colors in Detail
The field is a warm, weathered brown, like wet sand at low tide. Across it, medallions open in slate and sea blue, touched with copper and warm camel, while crisp ivory crosses and moss green accents scatter like shells and beach grass along the dunes. Fine charcoal lines trace the design, and the border repeats the same soft brown, framed by ivory bands of winding vines with leaves of olive and sand.
