From our Carmel-by-the-Sea Collection. Named for Monterey Bay, the deep blue harbor just north of Carmel and home to historic Cannery Row.

The Monterey Rug
Hand-knotted in India, this rug weaves recycled silk into a deep, plush wool pile. An organic lattice drifts across the field like fishing nets drying along the old wharf, each strand softly irregular, as if drawn by hand.

Colors in Detail
Slate and charcoal-blue wool, streaked like the bay under a cloudy sky, sets off a lattice of pale sage and cream. Recycled silk flashes turquoise and coral pink where the strands meet, shimmering like abalone shell at the water's edge.

The Monterey can be custom made in your size. Because each rug is hand-knotted with reclaimed silk, the colors and flecks will vary slightly from piece to piece, so yours will be truly one of a kind. Email us to begin your order.
