Chanticleer Rug
Chanticleer Rug
From our Nantucket Collection. Named for The Chanticleer, the beloved restaurant tucked among the rose-covered cottages of 'Sconset, on Nantucket's eastern shore.
The Chanticleer Rug
Hand-knotted from wool with a soft, comfortable pile, this rug draws on the classic pomegranate motif of traditional Khotan carpets from the ancient Silk Road, a symbol of abundance and good fortune. Weathered vines and scrolling borders tangle gracefully across the field, as charming and timeless as a 'Sconset garden in summer.
Colors in Detail
Soft, sun-washed blues are balanced with warm clay, faded rose and gentle sand, like climbing roses against weathered cedar shingles. Touches of ivory and timeworn red add depth, creating a relaxed palette with natural, lived-in variation.
