Almanack Rug
Almanack Rug
From our Nantucket Collection. Named for Almanack Pond Road, a sandy lane off Polpis Road that winds through the island's Middle Moors toward Almanack Pond, a quiet freshwater pond ringed by conservation land and wind-shaped trees.
The Almanack Rug
Inspired by the timeless artistry of an antique Oushak, this piece is hand-knotted in Turkey from lustrous mohair, with a larger knot that gives it an authentic, lived-in feel. The mohair's natural sheen catches the light beautifully, and its rich texture makes it wonderfully soft underfoot.
Colors in Detail
The field is a soft oyster ivory, like the inside of a shell washed up on the shore. Across it, palmettes and leafy sprays bloom in coral, faded rose, sage, and lavender gray, with touches of antique gold. A wide border in olive and golden sand, the colors of the moors in late summer, frames the design, dotted with ivory and coral blossoms like wild roses along a sandy lane.
